Olive Street Band at the CR farmers market!

Nick's band, The Olive Street Band, played on Saturday morning at the Farmers Market. It was CRAZY hot out, I dont know how the survived!! They did a great job tho! It was the first time that Grace and Maddie have been able to see "Daddy's Band". Too bad they were both really crabby and hot! We only stayed for about 45 minutes! I wasnt even able to get a picture of the girls! Hopefully they will play there again next year, with some cooler weather!! Here are a few of the pics that i did get. Its always my job to snap as many pictures as possible, for their webpage. I guess you could say i'm a roadie, haha!

Go, Cubs, GO!

We went to a cubs game with a bus full of friends on friday! It was the first time I(Angie) had ever been to Wrigley Field. It was a great time! However, I dont know much about baseball....by the end of the game, i still didnt know how to read that score board. Oh well, they won!!!

Great Paint!

These paints are so fun, and work GREAT for hand prints! I seem to always have a problem getting a good kid/baby hand print, it seems like I always have too much paint, or they move too quick. I used these today and just rolled it on Graces hand and we got PERFECT hand prints! She loved painting with them too! They worked great for Maddie as well! I think they came from Micheals....but i'm sure you could find them anywhere! I highly recommend them :)

things that drive me nuts.....

Dear City of Cedar Rapids Waste Management team..........seriously, you are horrible! Not only do you go 45MPH (seriously, they go fast) up and down our street every Tuesday....you also do a HORRIBLE job of picking up trash, if i look up my street, I can see all kinds of recycling items that fell out of their containers as you picked them up. Is it really that hard to bend over and pick up something that you dropped and throw it in that big truck??? Not to mention that after you empty the recycling bins (dropping half the stuff on the ground) you manage to toss them and break them. Thank you, for making my day.....so much more fun.

on another note, i'm pretty sure that i probably looked rediculous outside taking a picture of my garbage cans.....not to mention that i came back inside with out taking them back up to my house....oh well, i was angry. I feel much better now that i blogged about this......
